Analysis
The Industrial Relations Event Scale (IRES) assesses and measures various events and circumstances related to industrial relations within an organization or industry. This scale is crucial for understanding the dynamics between employers, employees, and trade unions, as well as for managing conflicts and negotiations.
Objective
The purpose of the scale is to document the experiences and perceptions of employees and employers regarding events that influence industrial relations. These may include strikes, contract negotiations, protests, organizational policy changes, and other similar occurrences.
Calibration
The scale consists of statements or questions to which participants typically respond using a Likert scale (e.g., from 1 = Never to 5 = Very Often). Scores are usually calculated by summing responses to derive an overall score representing the intensity and frequency of industrial relations events.
