Analysis

The Job Values Inventory Worksheet (JVIW) is a tool designed to help employees and job seekers identify and understand the work-related values they prioritize most. These values can include: Job security, Creativity and innovation, Work-life balance, Career development and growth, Autonomy and decision-making freedom. By recognizing these values, individuals can make more informed career choices, and organizations can align job roles with employee priorities.

Objective

The JVIW aims to:
• Help individuals systematically evaluate their work values and understand what contributes most to their job satisfaction.
• Support career decision-making by aligning job roles with employee values.
• Aid organizations in improving employee engagement and retention by considering value-based job fit.

Calibration

Participants complete a worksheet listing various job-related values and rank them
based on personal significance. The process typically involves: Ranking values in order of importance (e.g., from most to least significant). Using a Likert scale (e.g., 1 = Not Important at All to 5 = Very Important) to quantify the significance of each value.
