Brief Description

The questionnaire consists of 15 questions grouped into three factors:
(a) Positive reinforcement/feedback,
(b) Support from the teacher,
(c) Feedback related to student progress.

Completion is done through puppet-theater techniques, and the questions are presented in a format where the child responds with “yes” or “no.”

Purpose

The purpose of the tool is to record and evaluate the characteristics of the feedback students receive from their teacher, and how this feedback influences their sense of support within the classroom environment.

Scoring Method

Each child answers “yes” or “no” to each question. A “yes” response is scored as 1, and a “no” response as 0. The sum of positive responses constitutes the total score for each subscale.

Validity

Factor analysis indicated good construct validity, clearly distinguishing the three dimensions of feedback.

Reliability

Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha, which ranged from 0.85 to 0.78 across the three subscales, indicating satisfactory internal consistency.

Data Analysis and Use

The tool is suitable for research and diagnostic purposes in preschool and early primary education. It allows for the examination of how different types of feedback relate to children’s perceptions of teacher support in the school context.
