Description of the Questionnaire

The AEETTI (Adult Education Evaluation Tool for Training Interventions) is a reliable and valid instrument that records evaluation parameters from the perspective of the trainees themselves regarding the effectiveness of a training intervention. The questionnaire includes four main axes and twenty-seven questions. The first axis concerns the design of the training unit, including elements such as clarity, completeness, and the connection of objectives with the needs of the learners. The second axis relates to the educational methods and techniques, describing the way the objectives are implemented, the teaching methods, and the active participation of the learners. The third axis focuses on relationships within the group, examining the trainer’s authenticity, acceptance, and encouragement. The fourth axis concerns the lesson itself and self-assessment, including trust, the trainer’s professional competence, and the level of knowledge and skills acquired.

Data Analysis and Use

The research was conducted with the participation of four hundred and eight adults, including administrative staff, adult educators, and education officers, who formed sixty groups that attended training programs in thirteen regions of Greece. The analysis of the data was carried out both quantitatively and qualitatively. The quantitative analysis was based on a five-point Likert scale, where scores ranged from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), while the qualitative analysis included recording and coding comments arising from open-ended questions.

Purpose

The purpose of the research tool is to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of adult trainees, as these are shaped during and after attending the training intervention.

Scoring

Responses to the closed-ended questions are scored on a scale from 1 to 5. The internal consistency of all sub-parameters ranged from 0.63 to 0.85, demonstrating the tool’s reliability. The evaluation method has proven to be valid, with a positive stance and comparative majority exceeding 96% among participants.
