Analysis

The Victimization Assessment Tool was developed by Dr. Mary P. Koss. It was designed to record and evaluate experiences of victimization in various domains, such as physical, emotional, sexual, and online violence. This tool is used to understand the extent and nature of victimization, as well as its impact on individuals’ mental and physical health.

Purpose

Its purpose is to provide a comprehensive picture of individuals’ victimization experiences, to identify their needs for support, and to contribute to the development of interventions for the prevention and management of victimization.

Calibration

Participants are asked to respond based on their experience using a 5-point Likert scale. The questions cover topics such as physical violence, emotional abuse, sexual harassment and violence, and online victimization.
