Analysis
The Likelihood to Sexually Harass Scale (LTSHS) is a psychometric tool designed to assess the probability that an individual might engage in sexually harassing behaviors. The scale examines attitudes and perceptions regarding sexual harassment and evaluates the factors that may influence such behaviors.
Purpose
The purpose of the scale is:
Assessment of Behaviors: To measure the potential tendencies of an individual to engage in sexual harassment.
Understanding Risk Factors: To identify the factors that may increase the likelihood of engaging in such behaviors.
Promotion of Preventive Measures: To support the development of prevention and educational strategies aimed at reducing incidents of sexual harassment.
Enhancing Awareness: To increase awareness about the consequences of sexual harassment and to promote healthy and respectful interpersonal relationships.
Scoring
The scale includes a series of hypothetical scenarios presenting different situations of sexual harassment. Participants are asked to rate the likelihood of engaging in such behaviors using a Likert scale from 1 (not at all likely) to 5 (very likely). The scores are used to estimate the individual’s predispositions.
