Questionnaire Description

The questionnaire is a Vocabulary Test designed for 5th grade primary school students. It consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, each with four answer options. The test was developed as part of a scientific study aimed at investigating students’ vocabulary skills and was based on theoretical and psychometric criteria.

Data Analysis and Use

The analysis involved two stages of test administration. In the first stage, 67 students (24 girls and 43 boys), approximately 11 years old, from three primary schools participated. The analysis showed that 31 questions had satisfactory psychometric properties. In the second stage, the test was administered to 116 students (60 girls and 52 boys) from different schools of the same age group. Methods from classical test theory and factor analysis were applied. Factor analysis indicated the presence of a single factor, supporting the test’s validity. The Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient was calculated at 0.83, indicating high internal consistency.

Objective

The main objective of the test is to evaluate the vocabulary level of 5th grade students, identify potential language deficiencies related to vocabulary, and provide a tool for educators and researchers for educational assessment and intervention.

Scoring

Scoring is as follows: 1 point for each correct answer and 0 points for each incorrect answer. The total score ranges from 0 to 30.
