Analysis

The Emotion Awareness Questionnaire was designed to assess individuals’ ability—particularly that of children and adolescents—to recognize and understand their emotions. This ability is essential for emotional intelligence and psychological well-being.

Purpose

The primary purpose of the questionnaire is to provide a reliable and valid measurement of emotional awareness and understanding.

Calibration

The aspects evaluated include Recognition, Understanding, Expression, Coping, and Experience of Emotions. Participants are asked to rate the extent to which they agree or disagree with each statement using either a 3-point or 5-point Likert scale, depending on the version of the questionnaire.
