Analysis

The Subjective Monotony Scale assesses the subjective sense of monotony experienced by employees or individuals during the performance of their daily activities or tasks. Monotony refers to repetitiveness and lack of variety, which may cause negative effects on mental well-being and performance.

Purpose

The purpose of the scale is to determine the level of subjective monotony experienced by individuals in relation to their activities and to identify areas that may require intervention in order to reduce monotony and increase satisfaction and performance.

Scoring

The scale usually focuses on repetitiveness, lack of interest and motivation, and the effects on the perception of time and effectiveness. Participants respond to statements using a Likert-type scale.
