Analysis

The Role Overload Scale is designed to measure the overload experienced by employees due to the demands associated with their role in the workplace. Role overload refers to a situation in which the demands of the role are so numerous or so demanding that they make it difficult to manage and complete tasks.

Purpose

The purpose of the scale is to identify the levels of overload experienced by employees due to the demands of their roles, providing valuable information for the development of strategies that can reduce overload and improve job satisfaction and effectiveness.

Calibration

The scale includes a series of statements related to aspects of role overload, such as the quantity and variety of tasks, deadlines, and support. Participants are asked to respond to the statements using a Likert scale, from “1 = Strongly disagree” to “5 = Strongly agree.”
