The Goal Commitment Measure (GCM) is a psychometric tool designed to assess an individual’s level of commitment to a specific goal. Goal commitment is crucial for success, as it directly impacts effort, persistence, and resilience in goal attainment.

Objective

The GCM measures the intensity of an individual’s commitment toward a goal. This evaluation helps in understanding: Motivational factors driving goal pursuit. Willingness to exert effort toward achieving a goal. Likelihood of goal success based on persistence and self-efficacy.

Calibration

The scale evaluates key dimensions of goal commitment, including: Goal importance and relevance, Personal commitment and dedication, Self-efficacy and belief in goal achievement,Continuous effort and perseverance. Responses are collected using a 5-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree, 5 = Strongly Agree).
