Purpose of the Questionnaire (Scale)
The main purpose of the CGT-E is to help students, graduates, and professionals in the field of economics identify the most suitable professional specialties or areas of work, based on their abilities, interests, and values. The test provides a structured assessment of career preferences and supports decision-making for their career path.
Questionnaire Analysis (Scale)
The CGT-E was developed by Konstantinos Papadopoulos, a psychologist and expert in psychometric assessment. It includes five main domains: data analysis, decision-making, business management, financial management, and economic policy. Participants respond to statements using a five-point Likert scale, from 1 (Not at all) to 5 (Very much), depending on how much each statement represents them.
Question Scoring
Scoring is performed separately for each domain, creating a continuous scale that shows the individual’s relative strength or preference. A high score (4–5) indicates strong interest or ability, a moderate score (2–3) indicates average interest or skill, while a low score (1) reflects low interest or minimal inclination toward the specific domain.
Statistical Analysis
The average completion time is 30–45 minutes. The results provide a detailed overview of the domains in which the participant demonstrates strong skills or preferences. This allows for better targeting and direction of their career path.
Questionnaire Validity (Scale)
The CGT-E demonstrates high validity, as confirmed by relevant Greek and international studies. There is a strong correlation between the test results and other recognized career orientation tools, which reinforces the reliability of the conclusions drawn.
Questionnaire Reliability (Scale)
The reliability of the CGT-E is demonstrably high, with consistent indicators such as Cronbach’s alpha confirming the consistency and stability of results across different samples and time periods.
