Analysis

The Second Edition of the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory (ROCI-II) was developed by Dr. M. Afzalur Rahim and aims to measure individuals’ perceptions of conflict as well as their preferred tactics and approaches for managing it. The ROCI-II scale focuses on four key conflict management strategies: Avoidance, Compromise, Collaboration, and Dominance.

Objective

The objective of the ROCI-II is to provide insight into the strategies individuals use to manage conflicts in organizational settings. The information provided by the tool can help organizations understand how employees approach conflict, which strategies they prefer, and how these strategies affect the effectiveness of conflict resolution and the overall workplace climate.

Scoring

The scale includes a series of statements related to conflict management strategies, and participants respond using a Likert scale.
