Analysis
The HIOSE is a tool designed to assess the intensity and nature of individuals’ sexual arousal. The index focuses on measuring the physical and emotional response caused by sexual stimuli, providing information about sexual excitability and sensitivity to such stimuli. This tool is used to understand how various factors influence individuals’ sexual response.
Objective
The main objective of the HIOSE is to:
Assess the intensity of sexual arousal: It measures the intensity of sexual response to different stimuli, both physical and emotional.
Investigate the factors influencing sexual arousal: It examines how factors such as psychological state, physical health, and relationships affect sexual arousal.
Support the development of strategies and interventions: It provides data that can be used to create interventions that may improve or regulate sexual arousal and well-being.
Calibration
The calibration of the HIOSE includes:
Categorization of Responses: Participants answer questions related to their physical and emotional reactions to sexual stimuli. The questions use agreement scales, intensity ratings, or other measurement methods.
Total Score: A total score is calculated that reflects the intensity of sexual arousal. Higher scores indicate greater sensitivity or intensity of sexual response.
Result Analysis: The relationship between sexual arousal and other parameters—such as psychological factors, relationships, and overall well-being—is examined.
