The Adult Education Intervention Evaluation Scale (AEIES) was developed to evaluate the effectiveness of adult education programs. It is based on methodological principles that incorporate both qualitative and quantitative approaches, aiming to provide a comprehensive picture of educational outcomes.

Objective

The main objective of AEIES is the systematic evaluation of educational interventions, in order to identify strengths and areas for improvement. This scale is used to examine the quality of educational content, the effectiveness of teaching, participant satisfaction, and the applicability of the knowledge acquired.

Description

AEIES includes multiple evaluation areas, such as:
Content Quality: Evaluation of the relevance and organization of the material.
Teaching Effectiveness: Analysis of teaching methods and interaction with participants.
Participant Satisfaction: Measurement of satisfaction with the program.
Knowledge Applicability: Evaluation of the practical application of the knowledge acquired.

Sample

The AEIES sample consists of adult participants in training programs and instructors. The number of participants varies depending on the program, aiming to highlight diverse educational needs and contexts.

Scoring Method

Scoring is based on a 5-point Likert scale, where participants or evaluators select a value from 1 (Not at all) to 5 (Very much) to express their opinion. The results are analyzed in order to determine the effectiveness indicators of the intervention.

Validity

AEIES has been tested through research confirming that it accurately measures the objectives for which it was designed.

Reliability

Internal consistency indicators (Cronbach’s alpha) are high (e.g., 0.80–0.90), which indicates stable reliability in repeated measurements.
