Analysis
The test includes 8 psychometric subtests for kindergarten children, which assess phonological awareness, language skills, memory, and psychomotor abilities. Each subtest contains different activities that target the children’s general and specific abilities.
Sample
The sample consisted of 448 kindergarten children (boys and girls), aged 5–6 years, from the region of Attica. The standardization process was carried out through the administration of the test by specialized psychologists and educators.
Purpose
The purpose of the test is to identify preschool children who show signs of reading and writing difficulties, as well as other learning difficulties.
Validity and Reliability
The validity of the test was evaluated through:
Statistical analysis of criterion validity.
Correlation with other psychometric tests.
The Pearson test-retest reliability indices were:
0.90 for 1st Grade.
0.88 for 2nd Grade.
