Ερωτηματολόγιο Αντιλήψεων και Προκαταλήψεων [CMCQ-12]

Purpose of the Questionnaire

The questionnaire was developed in 1986 by DiClemente and his collaborators to assess the behavior and attitudes of children in relation to peers of the same age who face health problems or have disabilities. Its primary aim is to collect information regarding children’s perceptions and prejudices, as well as to familiarize them with individuals who have specific health problems.

Questionnaire Analysis

The questionnaire includes 12 open-ended questions for both adults and children, which are adapted accordingly. It is typically administered to individuals who have been exposed to a real or simulated experiential encounter, or to those who interact with people facing serious health issues. The CMCQ-12 evaluates the perceptions, emotions, prejudices, interpretations, and misinterpretations of children toward serious illness or disability and individuals with special needs.

Scoring of Items

The classification of data is related to the child’s developmental level, social, and political factors, and is determined according to the norms derived from the research conducted by DiClemente et al. (1986).

Statistical Analysis

The evaluation of the CMCQ-12 follows procedures typically used in projective questionnaires, meaning that responses are subject to the projective hypothesis and their interpretation is based on content analysis.

Validity and Reliability of the Questionnaire

The test-retest reliability for the CMCQ-12 was calculated from a second administration using the same experiential experience. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used to assess internal consistency, yielding a value of 0.55, which does not guarantee reliability.
