Analysis
The Fairness Perceptions of an Organizational Policy Scale (FPOAOPS) is a psychometric tool used to measure employees’ perceptions of the fairness of a specific policy within their organization. This scale assesses three dimensions of organizational justice: Procedural Justice – Fairness in the processes used to implement the policy. Distributive Justice – Fairness in the outcomes or benefits of the policy. Interpersonal Justice – Fairness in the way employees are treated in relation to the policy.
Objective
The primary goal of FPOAOPS is to evaluate employees’ perceptions of fairness regarding organizational policies. This assessment helps managers and HR professionals to: Understand how policies impact employee satisfaction and commitment. Identify areas where policies may be perceived as unfair or unclear. Improve policy implementation to enhance trust and performance.
Calibration
The scale is typically measured using a 5-point or 7-point Likert rating system (1 = Strongly Disagree, 5 or 7 = Strongly Agree). Higher scores indicate greater perceived fairness of the organizational policy.
