The Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire is a tool used in the field of sport psychology and sport research to measure athletes’ perceptions regarding the motivational climate in their environment. The questionnaire focuses on how athletes perceive the climate created by coaches, teammates, and the overall environment, and how this influences their intrinsic motivation, self-development, desire to achieve, and their sense of autonomy and communication.

Objective

The objective of this questionnaire is to study and understand athletes’ perceptions of the climate prevailing in the sports environment and how this affects their behavior, autonomy, performance, and well-being.

Scoring

The PMCSQ-66 consists of 66 items that are rated on a 5-point Likert scale, with 1 = Strongly Disagree and 5 = Strongly Agree.
