Analysis

The Revised Attitudes Toward Violence Scale – Scoring Version (RATVS-SV) assesses the extent to which individuals consider the use of violence acceptable or unacceptable in various situations and contexts, such as personal life, school, or the workplace.

Objective

The goal of the RATVS-SV is to record individuals’ attitudes toward violence, identify the factors that influence these attitudes, and support the development of violence prevention programs and interventions.

Scoring Method

The RATVS-SV is scored using a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (“strongly disagree”) to 5 (“strongly agree”). The total score is calculated by summing the ratings for all items. Higher total scores indicate greater acceptance of violence.
