Analysis
The Goal and Process Clarity Scale (GAPCS) is a psychometric tool designed to evaluate the clarity of goals and processes within an organization or a specific work environment. Clear goals and processes are essential for employee effectiveness as they influence understanding, commitment, and performance.
Objective
The primary goal of GAPCS is to measure the degree of clarity in both organizational goals and work-related processes. Understanding these factors helps organizations: Improve communication and structure, Reduce uncertainty in tasks and responsibilities, Enhance employee engagement and efficiency.
Calibration
The scale evaluates two key dimensions: Goal clarity – The extent to which employees understand organizational and personal objectives. Process clarity – The extent to which employees understand the steps, guidelines, and procedures required to achieve goals. Responses are collected using a 5-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree, 5 = Strongly Agree).
