Questionnaire Description

This questionnaire is part of a research initiative conducted by the University of Macedonia, Department of Educational and Social Policy, under the supervision of Professor Mr. Georgios Pavlidis. Its purpose is to record cognitive and behavioral characteristics related to potential addictions. The instrument consists of 19 questions, answered with YES or NO, and is based on diagnostic criteria for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) according to the DSM-IV. Completing the questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes, and participation is voluntary and anonymous.

Data Analysis and Use

The collected data will be statistically analyzed with the aim of identifying common behavioral patterns among participants, correlating cognitive and/or emotional traits with possible addiction-related factors, and proposing educational interventions or prevention strategies. Absolute confidentiality will be maintained, and the data will be used exclusively for scientific purposes.

Objective

The primary objective of the questionnaire is to investigate the presence of symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, to understand social, emotional, and biological causes related to addictions, and to develop educational proposals to support young individuals.

Scoring

Scoring is based on self-reporting in comparison to the behavior of peers. Each positive response (YES) indicates a greater presence of the corresponding symptom. The questions are grouped as follows: Inattention (questions 1 to 9), Hyperactivity/Impulsivity (questions 10 to 18), and Comorbid Disorders (question 19). There is no numerical scoring system, but a high number of positive responses may indicate the need for further evaluation.
