Analysis
The Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDEQ-35) is a tool used to assess symptoms of eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. Developed in 1994, it is a self-report instrument designed for use by patients to describe their thoughts, behaviors, and perceptions related to eating and body image.
Purpose
The purpose of this questionnaire is to provide an assessment tool for eating disorders. Through the questionnaire, mental health professionals can evaluate behaviors, thoughts, and emotional responses associated with eating and an individual’s relationship with their body.
Question Calibration
The EDEQ-35 consists of 35 items, each scored on the following scale: 0,1 = Not at all; 2,3 = Slightly; 4,5 = Moderately; 6 = Significantly.
