Questionnaire Analysis
The Aspects of Identity Questionnaire (AIQ-IV) is a psychometric tool designed to evaluate various dimensions of personal identity. It assesses how individuals perceive and experience their identity across different aspects such as: Personal identity – Self-definition based on individual characteristics and values. Social identity – Identity shaped by relationships and social roles. Collective identity – Connection to cultural, ethnic, national, or religious groups. Temporal identity – Self-concept across past, present, and future. The AIQ-IV helps researchers and practitioners understand how identity influences self-perception and psychological well-being.
Objective
The primary goal of AIQ-IV is to provide a comprehensive measurement of identity dimensions. The data collected can be used to: Examine how identity aspects contribute to self-awareness and self-esteem. Explore the relationship between identity, psychological resilience, and well-being. Develop interventions that promote self-understanding and identity development.
Calibration
The AIQ-IV consists of statements rated on a 5-point Likert scale, ranging from: 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree). Statements assess: Individual characteristics and values. Perceptions of identity in relation to social groups and roles. Identity across different time perspectives (past, present, future). Connections to broader collectives (e.g., cultural, national, or religious communities).
