Analysis
The study “The Sexual Victimization of College Women” was conducted by Dr. B.S. Fisher, Dr. F.T. Cullen, and Dr. M.G. Turner, experts in criminology and the psychology of victimization. It is an assessment and research tool developed to record and analyze experiences of sexual victimization among female college students. The questionnaire examines various forms of sexual violence, such as sexual harassment, rape, and other forms of sexual assault.
Objective
The purpose of the research is to document the extent and nature of sexual victimization experienced by female college students, identify risk factors, and support the development of prevention programs and support services for victims of sexual violence at universities.
Scoring
Scoring is conducted on a 5-point Likert scale.
The questions relate to experiences of sexual harassment, coercion into sexual intercourse, and other forms of sexual violence, as well as the consequences of these experiences on the participants’ mental and physical health.
