Analysis
The Social and Emotional Resources Inventory-Revised (SAERI-R) is a psychometric tool designed to assess the social and emotional resources available to individuals. This instrument includes a series of questions related to various aspects of a person’s social and emotional life, such as self-esteem, social support, emotional regulation, and the ability to create and maintain interpersonal relationships. The revised version of the questionnaire offers improved reliability and validity, allowing for a more accurate and detailed evaluation.
Purpose
The primary purpose of the SAERI-R is to provide researchers and professionals with a reliable tool for measuring an individual’s social and emotional resources. These resources are critical for mental health and well-being, as they help individuals cope with stress, maintain positive relationships, and achieve personal goals. Through the use of the SAERI-R, specialists can identify areas where an individual may need reinforcement or support, as well as assess the effectiveness of interventions and therapeutic programs.
Calibration
The calibration of the SAERI-R is carried out by analyzing the responses to each questionnaire item. Each response is rated using a Likert scale, typically from 1 (not at all) to 5 (very much), and the total scores are calculated to provide an overall picture of an individual’s social and emotional resources. Scores may also be divided into subcategories, such as self-esteem, social support, and emotional regulation, for a more detailed analysis. The calibration of the instrument has been shown to demonstrate high reliability and validity, making the SAERI-R a valuable tool for research and clinical practice.
