Analysis
The study “Community Support—Chicago Youth Development Study” focuses on youth development in Chicago and the influence of community on their growth. The research explores how environmental factors—such as social structures, economic conditions, and family dynamics—contribute to shaping young people’s behavior and opportunities. The study includes data from numerous families and youth across different Chicago neighborhoods, providing a comprehensive picture of the challenges and opportunities they face. The findings are used to develop support strategies and programs aimed at strengthening resilience and success among young people through enhanced community involvement and family support.
Objective
The objective of this questionnaire is to gain a deeper understanding of the community’s role in the development and well-being of young people in Chicago. The research seeks to analyze how various social environmental factors—such as social support, educational opportunities, and economic stability—influence youth behavior, performance, and future prospects. By collecting and analyzing data from diverse neighborhoods and population groups, the study aims to identify the needs and challenges faced by young people, with the goal of proposing targeted strategies and interventions that will strengthen social cohesion and improve living conditions and prospects for youth in the city.

The CSCYDSY-6 questionnaire consists of 6 items which are answered as follows:
1 = Strongly agree
2 = Agree
3 = Neither agree nor disagree
4 = Disagree
5 = Strongly disagree
