Analysis

The questionnaire includes items that assess trust among residents, mutual assistance, community participation, and the population’s ability to cooperate in solving common problems. The results show that neighborhoods with high collective efficacy have lower crime rates and greater social stability. Residents of these areas feel safer and are more willing to engage in joint activities and initiatives. In contrast, neighborhoods with low collective efficacy exhibit increased problems of social isolation and lack of trust among residents. Overall, the analysis of the questionnaire highlights the importance of collective efficacy for the well-being and cohesion of communities.

Objective

The objective of this questionnaire is to evaluate the quality of social relationships and the capacity for cooperation among residents. By collecting data on trust, mutual support, community participation, and the ability to take collective action, the questionnaire seeks to understand how social forces and interactions influence the cohesion and safety of neighborhoods. The analysis of these data makes it possible to identify the factors that contribute to the development of social solidarity and shared responsibility, providing valuable insights for improving social policy strategies and neighborhood-level interventions.

Calibration

The CECNS-10 questionnaire consists of 10 items, which are rated as follows:
Very likely = 5
Likely = 4
Neither likely nor unlikely = 3
Unlikely = 2
Very unlikely = 1
