Analysis

The IAIWTGCS is a tool designed to measure the degree of identification and involvement of an individual with the gay community. The scale assesses both a person’s self-identification with the community and their participation in activities or support for the LGBTQ+ community. It helps to understand how individuals connect with the community and the intensity of their involvement.

Purpose

The main objectives of the IAIWTGCS are to:
Measure identification with the gay community: Assess personal identification with the LGBTQ+ community and the intensity of emotional connection.
Measure involvement and participation: Record the individual’s level of participation in activities, support, and other actions related to the LGBTQ+ community.
Investigate the effects of identification and involvement: Examine how recognition and participation affect attitudes, mental health, and social relationships.
Support the development of support strategies and interventions: Provide data for the creation of support strategies and programs that enhance involvement in the LGBTQ+ community.

Calibration

The calibration of the IAIWTGCS includes:
Categorization of Responses: Participants answer questions related to their identification and involvement with the gay community, using agreement scales or other measurement methods.
Total Score: A total score is calculated that reflects the level of identification and involvement. Higher scores indicate stronger identification and greater participation.
Analysis of Results: The relationship between identification, involvement, and other parameters is examined, such as personal well-being, social relationships, and attitudes.
