Analysis
The GRARN is a tool designed to measure individuals’ perceptions and attitudes regarding gender roles and social norms in relationships. The questionnaire examines how people perceive and expect both themselves and their partners to behave within relationships, taking into account social and cultural expectations about gender roles.
Purpose
The main goals of the GRARN are to:
Evaluate perceptions of gender roles: Measure how participants perceive and interpret gender roles in various social and personal situations.
Examine social expectations in relationships: Explore expectations related to behavior, responsibilities, and interactions between partners in relationships.
Support understanding and interventions: Provide data that can be used to better understand gender role dynamics in relationships and to develop interventions that promote more equal and satisfying partnerships.
Scoring
The scoring of the GRARN includes:
Categorization of Responses: Participants answer questions related to gender roles and social expectations in relationships, using agreement scales or other measurement methods.
Total Score: A total score is calculated that reflects perceptions of gender roles and social norms in relationships. Higher scores usually indicate more traditional or specific views about gender roles.
Analysis of Results: The relationship between perceptions of gender roles and other variables is examined, such as relationship satisfaction, social dynamics, and individual values.
