Analysis
The Female Orgasm Scale (FOS) is a tool designed to assess the frequency, intensity, and characteristic experiences of the female orgasm. The questionnaire includes questions that refer to various aspects of orgasm, such as the intensity of emotions, satisfaction with the experience, duration, and physiological reactions during orgasm. The scale may also examine the relationship of orgasm to other aspects of sexual satisfaction and overall sexual well-being.
Objective
The objective of the FOS is to provide a detailed assessment of orgasm experiences in women, allowing for an understanding of the variety and intensity of orgasmic responses. The results of the scale can be used for research purposes or for the development of interventions aimed at improving sexual well-being and satisfaction.
Calibration
The calibration of the FOS is usually carried out through a Likert scale or other quantitative methods, in which participants evaluate the frequency, intensity, and satisfaction of orgasm based on a set of statements. Rating scales may range from 1 (never) to 5 (always) for frequency, or from 1 (low intensity) to 5 (high intensity) for orgasm intensity.
