Analysis

The Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ-6) was designed to measure the level of gratitude an individual feels. Gratitude is a significant positive emotion associated with psychological well-being, life satisfaction, and healthy social relationships.

Objective

The primary objective of the GQ-6 is to provide a brief and reliable measurement of an individual’s level of gratitude. The data collected can be used to better understand the role of gratitude in psychological health.

Scoring

The GQ-6 includes six statements, which participants rate using a 7-point Likert scale, ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree). The total score is the sum of the ratings for the six items, with higher scores indicating a greater sense of gratitude.
