Analysis

The Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire–360 (TEIQue-360) was developed to assess an individual’s emotional intelligence based on observations and evaluations from people in their social environment. Unlike the self-report version of the TEIQue, the TEIQue-360 relies on feedback from multiple sources—such as colleagues, supervisors, friends, and family—offering a multidimensional approach to measuring emotional intelligence.

Purpose

The primary goal of the TEIQue-360 is to provide a comprehensive and objective assessment of an individual’s emotional intelligence through the observations of others.

Scoring

The TEIQue-360 covers the same four core dimensions as the standard TEIQue: Wellbeing, Self-Control, Emotionality, and Sociability. Items are rated on a 7-point Likert scale, ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree). The overall score is calculated as the average of the ratings provided by evaluators for each dimension. This multi-source evaluation provides a more complete and externally validated picture of the person’s emotional intelligence.
