Brief Description

The questionnaire includes three groups of questions—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic—with 16 items each. These sets reflect the student’s sensory preferences in learning. The questions are phrased to allow the examinee to self-report how they best receive and process information.

Purpose

The questionnaire was developed to identify the dominant sensory type (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic) of each student, with the aim of understanding their learning profile and enhancing their educational experience. It can be used both diagnostically and in counseling contexts.

Scoring Method

Positive responses are quantitatively evaluated to reflect the strength of each sensory type. Each positive answer receives one point, and responses are tallied within each sensory group to determine the dominant type.

Validity

Construct validity was confirmed through correlation analyses with variables such as performance in mathematics and language, self-esteem, and self-perception. High correlations were observed with established psychometric tools.

Reliability

Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha. For children, results were: Visual: 0.94, Auditory: 0.97, Kinesthetic: 0.97. For adults, the results were: Visual: 0.89, Auditory: 0.91, Kinesthetic: 0.88. The overall reliability index was 0.96.

Data Analysis and Use

The questionnaire was administered to 1,196 students aged 9–12 years (51.2% boys, 48.8% girls) from 29 schools. An additional 249 adult educators participated for verification purposes. The frequency of each type was distributed as follows: 43% visual, 22% auditory, and 35% kinesthetic. The data are used to support educational differentiation and enhance learning effectiveness.
