Brief Description

The PLBQ is a single-factor tool designed to assess leadership behaviors and consists of 68 items. Participants indicate the extent to which they believe each statement describes them, using a five-point Likert scale. The average completion time for adults is approximately 15 minutes.

Purpose

The purpose of the questionnaire is to evaluate the extent to which positive leadership behaviors are exhibited in workplace settings.

Scoring Method

Participants respond to each statement using a five-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree). The scores reflect the intensity with which individuals believe each statement characterizes them.

Validity

The instrument has demonstrated good construct validity.

Reliability

The internal consistency of the tool is extremely high (Cronbach’s α = 0.99), and the test–retest reliability coefficient is also high (r = 0.98).

Data Analysis and Use

The questionnaire is currently in its final development phase. To date, data have been collected from 378 participants across Greece. The data can be analyzed using descriptive statistics and are suitable for capturing positive leadership traits in individuals or groups.
