Analysis and Objective of the Questionnaire

The Preschool Children’s Skills Rating Scale is an assessment tool developed by Ralli and Kassotaki in 2012, designed to record and evaluate cognitive, social, and motor skills in preschool-aged children. The goal is to identify abilities that may later influence a child’s academic or psychosocial performance.

Scale Scoring

The PCSRS-20 scale consists of 20 criteria, divided into five subscales:
Language skills
Mathematical skills
Social skills
Motor skills
Autonomous learning skills
Each child is rated by educators on a scale from 0 to 4 based on their performance in each criterion.

Statistical Analysis

The research findings showed that higher scores on the scale are associated with better performance in the corresponding skill areas.

Validity and Reliability

The internal consistency reliability of the entire scale and all five subscales was found to be satisfactory, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.80.
