Peripheral Artery Questionnaire [PAQ]
Description
The Peripheral Artery Questionnaire (PAQ) is an assessment instrument designed to evaluate symptoms and functional limitations associated with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). PAD is characterized by narrowing or blockage of the arteries supplying blood to the extremities, particularly the legs.
Purpose
The primary purpose of the PAQ is to assess symptoms associated with PAD, such as leg pain or heaviness during physical activity, and to evaluate the impact of the condition on an individual’s functional capacity and daily activities.
Scoring and Data Analysis
The questionnaire includes items addressing symptoms, functional capacity, and related factors. Participants respond using Likert-type or other rating scales to indicate the severity and impact of their symptoms. The results can support the assessment of PAD severity and the planning or monitoring of appropriate interventions.
