Analysis

The Peripheral Artery Questionnaire is designed to assess the symptoms and risk factors associated with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). PAD is a condition in which the arteries that supply blood to the limbs—typically the legs—become narrowed or blocked due to atherosclerosis or other causes.

Objective

The main objective of the Peripheral Artery Questionnaire is to identify and evaluate the symptoms of PAD, such as pain or heaviness in the legs during activity, and to assess the impact of the disease on an individual’s functional capacity. The tool also aids in risk assessment and disease management.

Scoring

The questionnaire includes items related to symptoms, functional capacity, and risk factors. Respondents answer the questions using Likert scales or other measurement scales to assess the severity and impact of symptoms. The results help evaluate the seriousness of PAD and guide the design of appropriate therapeutic interventions.
