Analysis
The Offshore Safety Questionnaire was developed to measure the perception and implementation of safety practices in offshore environments, such as oil and gas extraction platforms.
Objective
The primary objective of the questionnaire is to identify weaknesses in safety practices and provide information that can be used to develop strategies for improving safety on offshore installations. The data collected can help understand the safety culture, inform staff training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Scoring
The main sections of the questionnaire include Safety Policies, Training and Awareness, Safety Equipment, Accident Reporting and Communication, and Safety Culture. Participants are asked to respond to each question using a Likert scale, usually ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). Overall scores are derived by summing responses to related questions, with higher scores indicating a greater perception and implementation of safety practices.
