Description of the Questionnaire

The model includes four areas of exercises: psychomotor skills – laterality, phonology, pre-reading, and pre-writing. Each area consists of 20 exercises, which are graded in terms of difficulty and aim to record and analyze potential difficulties associated with dyslexic behavior in early childhood.

Data Analysis and Use

The data collected from the implementation of the exercises in the four areas are used to detect early signs of dyslexic behavior. Additionally, they contribute to the planning and implementation of individualized or group re-education interventions, as well as to the monitoring of each child’s progress over time.

Objective

The purpose of the model is the early re-education of children with suspected dyslexic behavior during the preschool years, in order to support their cognitive and learning development and facilitate their smooth transition to primary school.

Scoring

Each exercise is graded individually according to the domain it belongs to. Scoring may be based either on simple success/failure criteria or on a graded assessment of the child’s performance, aiming to form a comprehensive picture of their learning needs.
