The Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDEQ-19) is a tool used to assess symptoms of bulimia, an eating disorder characterized by the consumption of large amounts of food in a short period, followed by typically ineffective attempts to control weight, such as vomiting or excessive exercise.

Purpose

The purpose of this questionnaire is to provide an assessment tool for symptoms of bulimia, a serious eating disorder. Through this questionnaire, mental health professionals can evaluate the frequency and severity of bulimic episodes, as well as the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors associated with them.

Question Calibration

The EDEQ-19 consists of 19 items, each answered on the following scale: 1 = Strongly Disagree, 2 = Somewhat Disagree, 3 = Neither Agree Nor Disagree, 4 = Somewhat Agree, 5 = Strongly Agree.
