Analysis
The Helping and Voice Behaviors Scale (HVBS) is a psychometric tool designed to assess employee behaviors that contribute to teamwork and organizational effectiveness. The scale includes two key dimensions: Helping Behavior – Actions employees take to support and assist their colleagues. Voice Behavior – Employees’ willingness to express opinions, concerns, and suggestions for improvement.
Objective
The HVBS aims to: Measure employees’ proactive involvement in teamwork and collaboration, Assess their willingness to offer assistance and constructive feedback, Identify strengths and areas for improvement in teamwork and communication.
Calibration
The scale evaluates two primary dimensions, typically using a 5-point or 7-point Likert scale: Helping Behavior (e.g., “I willingly assist my coworkers when they need help.”), Voice Behavior (e.g., “I speak up with ideas to improve organizational functioning.”). Responses range from “Never” to “Always” or “Strongly Disagree” to “Strongly Agree”.
