Questionnaire Description
The brief neuropsychological battery includes both well-known and newly developed tasks for the assessment of core neuropsychological domains, such as verbal abilities, visuospatial perception, attention, memory, and executive functions. The total duration of the assessment is approximately seventy-five minutes. No performance criterion (cut-off score) is provided, and the comparison of scores in each task is based on the available population data.
Data Analysis and Use
The results are used to evaluate the overall cognitive status of the individual with a psychiatric disorder. Through the battery, it is possible to compare the different cognitive domains and to detect potential deficits related to the diagnosis.
Aim
The purpose of the battery is to provide a brief yet comprehensive assessment of neuropsychological functions in individuals with psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and obsessive–compulsive disorder.
Calibration
Scoring is carried out according to each subscale. Validity and reliability are not yet available.
