Purpose
The purpose of this questionnaire is to assess anger based on the STAXI-CA.
Analysis
Anger is a normal emotional state experienced by everyone, but when it gets out of control, it can have serious consequences. The State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory for Children and Adolescents (STAXI-CA) is a widely used assessment tool for measuring and understanding anger in children and adolescents. The STAXI-CA is a self-report instrument that evaluates both the intensity of anger and the way it is expressed.
It consists of two main scales: the State Anger Scale and the Trait Anger Scale. The State Anger Scale measures the intensity of anger at the moment the questionnaire is completed, while the Trait Anger Scale evaluates the tendency to experience anger over time.
The STAXI-CA also includes two subscales: the Internal Anger Subscale and the External Anger Subscale. The Internal Anger Subscale measures the tendency to internalize anger, whereas the External Anger Subscale measures the tendency to express anger outwardly. The STAXI-CA is a reliable and valid tool for measuring anger in children and adolescents. It has been shown to be sensitive to changes in anger over time and is correlated with other measures of anger and aggression.
The STAXI-CA is an important tool for evaluating and understanding anger in children and adolescents and can be used to determine appropriate interventions to help them manage their anger more effectively.
Question Calibration
The [AAWTS-46] questionnaire consists of 46 items. It includes 6 dimensions, 5 facets, and 1 anger index. In the STAXI-2, three of the five original STAXI scales remain unchanged: Trait Anger (T-Ang), Anger Expression-Out (AX-O), and Anger Expression-In (AX-I). The two T-Ang subscales, Angry Temperament (T-Ang/T) and Angry Reaction (T-Ang/R), are also preserved. The Pediatric Anger component includes 10 items and 2 factors: Externalized Anger and Internalized Anger.
