Scale Analysis

The Alienation Scale for Students with Visual Impairments is an assessment tool aimed at measuring the degree of alienation experienced by students with visual disabilities in their educational environment. It includes ten statements that reflect feelings of isolation and disconnection that students may experience due to their disability. These statements cover various aspects of school life, such as social interactions with peers, acceptance by the group, participation in school activities, and perceptions of relationships with teachers. Through the scale, educators, psychologists, and other professionals can identify the challenges faced by students with visual impairments and take appropriate measures to improve their inclusion in the school environment. The use of the scale helps in understanding the needs of these students and in creating a supportive and inclusive educational framework.

Scale Objective

The purpose of this scale is to evaluate and understand the degree of alienation that students with visual impairments may experience in their school environment. Through the ten targeted statements, the scale aims to identify feelings of isolation, disconnection, and lack of acceptance that these students may face, both in their social interactions and in the educational process. By applying the scale, educators and professionals can collect valuable information that will help in recognizing the specific needs and challenges of these students. The ultimate goal is to improve the school experience of students with visual impairments through the development and implementation of strategies that promote a more supportive and inclusive educational environment, thereby enhancing their psychosocial well-being and academic success.
