Data Analysis and Use
The Sexual History and Adjustment Questionnaire (SHAAQ) is a tool used to evaluate an individual’s sexual history and adjustment in their sexual life. This questionnaire provides an overall picture of sexual experiences, behaviors, and adjustment regarding sexuality.
The SHAAQ examines:
Sexual History: Recording of the sexual experiences and relationships the individual has had in the past.
Sexual Adjustment: The individual’s ability to adapt and find satisfaction in their sexual life.
Emotional and Psychological Health: How sexual history and current sexual status affect an individual’s psychological and emotional well-being.
Sexual Satisfaction: Overall satisfaction with sexual life and perceptions about sexual relationships.
The analysis of SHAAQ data involves assessing sexual history and adjustment, as well as linking these elements to mental and emotional well-being. The results can be used to understand the factors influencing sexual health and to develop intervention and therapeutic strategies.
Purpose
The purpose of the SHAAQ is to evaluate individuals’ sexual history and adjustment in their sexual lives. The scale aims to understand the factors affecting sexual well-being and to develop therapeutic strategies to enhance sexual health and satisfaction.
Scoring
Scoring of the SHAAQ is usually performed with a Likert scale, where participants rate their agreement with statements about sexual history, adjustment, and satisfaction from 1 (very low or rare) to 5 (very high or frequent). The overall score is obtained from the sum or the average of the item scores, with higher scores indicating better adjustment and satisfaction.
