Data Analysis and Use

The Sexual Daydreaming Scale (SDSTIPI) of the Imaginal Processes Inventory assesses the frequency and nature of sexual fantasies experienced by individuals. This scale measures the tendency for sexual daydreaming and the characteristics of fantasies related to sexual desire and behavior.
The SDSTIPI analyzes:
Frequency of Sexual Daydreaming: How often individuals engage in sexual fantasies or daydreams.
Themes and Content: The type of sexual fantasies, including themes and scenarios that are common or recurring.
Impact on Relationships: How sexual fantasies affect relationships and personal well-being.
The analysis of the data includes recording the frequency and intensity of sexual fantasies, as well as identifying the themes associated with them. The data can be used to better understand sexual desires and behaviors and to explore the relationship between sexual daydreaming and other psychological or emotional factors.

Objective

The objective of the SDSTIPI is to understand and evaluate the frequency, themes, and effects of sexual fantasies. The scale aims to analyze the role sexual fantasies play in individuals’ sexual desire and behavior. The results can be used to understand individual differences in sexual desire and to develop intervention strategies for addressing issues related to sexual well-being.

Scoring

The scoring of the SDSTIPI is usually carried out using a Likert scale, where participants rate the frequency and intensity of the sexual fantasies they experience, as well as the themes included in them. The questions may use scales ranging from 1 (very rarely or never) to 5 (very often or very intensely). Total scores are calculated as the sum or average of the responses, with higher scores indicating greater frequency and intensity of sexual fantasies.
