Purpose of the Questionnaire (Scale)

The TERGA has been designed to assess an individual’s professional values and priorities, with an emphasis on work–life balance, career advancement, social responsibility, ethics, and recognition. It is intended for employees across all sectors, businesses, counseling centers, and academic institutions.

Questionnaire (Scale) Analysis

The tool was developed by Konstantinos Spanos and Maria Papadopoulou and consists of 40 questions covering five main dimensions: Autonomy (creativity, independence), Security (stability, organization), Social Influence (recognition, leadership), Self-actualization (personal development), and Ethics & Values (social responsibility). Participants respond on a 5-point Likert scale (1 = “Does not represent me,” 5 = “Fully represents me”).

Scoring of Questions

Each dimension is scored separately, with a possible total score ranging from 8 to 40 points. A high score on a given dimension indicates that it constitutes a central professional value for the individual.

Statistical Analysis

The dimensions of the TERGA demonstrate high internal consistency, with Cronbach’s alpha values ranging from 0.82 to 0.89. The stability of the scale is confirmed through test–retest reliability (r = 0.84 after 4 months).

Validity of the Questionnaire (Scale)

The validity of the TERGA was confirmed through factor analysis, which supported the 5 dimensions (Spanos & Papadopoulou, 2020). In addition, there is a positive correlation with job satisfaction (r = 0.65).

Reliability of the Questionnaire (Scale)

The TERGA demonstrates high reliability, both in internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha) and in stability over time (test–retest reliability).
