Analysis
The Prosocial Personality Battery (PSB) was developed by Penner, Fritzsche, Craiger, and Freifeld. It is an assessment tool used to measure individuals’ prosocial tendencies and behaviors. It includes questions that assess willingness to help, empathy, sense of social responsibility, and readiness to engage in prosocial acts.
Purpose
The purpose of the Prosocial Personality Battery is to provide a reliable and valid measurement of prosocial tendencies and behaviors. It is used in psychological research to understand the factors that promote prosocial behavior and their relationship with personality and other psychological variables.
Scoring
Scoring is conducted using a Likert scale. Participants are asked to rate each statement based on how much they agree or disagree with it, usually on a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree).
