Description

The Muslim Religiosity-Personality Inventory (MRPI) is a tool designed to assess the religiosity and personality of Muslims. The MRPI combines elements of religious behavior with aspects of personality, offering a detailed picture of how religiosity influences the individual’s psychological and behavioral dimensions.

Objective

The objectives of the MRPI are:
To evaluate the religiosity of Muslims, focusing on various aspects of their religious life, such as devotion, worship practices, and values related to their faith.
To examine the connection between religiosity and personality, analyzing how religious beliefs and practices influence personality traits.
To contribute to the understanding of psychological well-being and religious adjustment, providing information that can be used for the development of counseling and therapeutic interventions that integrate psychology and religion.

Analysis

The MRPI includes questions that cover various dimensions of religiosity and personality. The questions may include:
Religious practices and behaviors, such as the frequency of prayer, adherence to religious duties, and participation in religious activities.
Religious beliefs and values, such as the importance of religion in the individual’s life and personal beliefs about divine will.
Personality traits, such as conscientiousness, emotional stability, and social skills.
The analysis of results includes deriving insights about religiosity and personality, and understanding the relationship between them. This can be done through descriptive statistics, factor structure analysis, and statistical tests to evaluate correlations.

Calibration

The calibration of the MRPI includes the process of verifying the validity and reliability of the tool:
Internal Consistency: Indicators such as Cronbach’s alpha coefficient are used to measure the consistency of the questions related to each dimension.
Content Validity: Ensures that the questions fully cover the dimensions of religiosity and personality under examination.
Criterion Validity: Examines the relationship of the results with other related measures or criteria.
Test-Retest Reliability: Assesses the stability of the results at different points in time.
